Alaska Raptor Experience
With our Alaska Raptor Experience, you’ll view a stunning 270-degree film showcasing majestic bald eagles soaring over the breathtaking beauty of various dramatic landscapes. After the film, a professional handler from the renowned Alaska Raptor Center offers an exclusive live presentation with real raptors, including bald eagles, owls, and hawks. This family-friendly activity allows all ages to safely interact with these incredible birds, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of Alaska’s diverse wildlife.

The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness
This 45-minute film is perfect for your whole family, offering stunning visuals, engaging narration, and even features kids to inspire the young adventurers in your family. The Arctic, by National Geographic photographer Florian Schulz, takes you on a remote and intense 8K journey through Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, explore parts of Alaska very rarely seen, but teeming with incredible mega-fauna, insight into the world’s longest migration patterns, and the elegant and untamed history of the Arctic Refuge.

All educators and parents are welcome to plan their classroom visit to the Dome completely FREE of charge. We are honored to be able to share these incredible films with our youngest Sitkans.

FAQs
Do children require a ticket?
Yes, children require a ticket. For our Alaska Raptor Experience, it is $29 for a children’s ticket. For The Arctic: The Last Great Wilderness, it is $10 for children. The exception is that children 5-years and under get free admission to our Alaska Raptor Experience.
Orbital and LIQUIDVERSE are suitable for all ages, but are more cerebral and may not be as kid-friendly as our Alaska Raptor Experience or The Arctic: The Last Great Wilderness.
When should I arrive for the event?
We recommend arriving at least 10-minutes before the show starts. A bonus for early arrivals is the opportunity to enjoy a pre-show film!
Can I choose my seats?
There is no assigned seating in the Dome. Choose the seat that best fits your viewing needs.
What if I arrive late?
Not to worry, all ticket holders are welcome to see the show at their preferred time or a secondary time, as long as availability allows. We know things happen when you’re traveling and we’re here to make your experience as memorable as possible! See a Dome attendant when you arrive for alternate show options should you miss more than five minutes of your show.
Do you offer shuttle services?
Yes! If you’re visiting from downtown Sitka, our shuttle bus service offers a direct route between Harrigan Centennial Hall and the terminal.
What is your policy on photography and videography at the event?
We know you’ve waited a while to experience Alaska up close. We encourage guests to take photos and tag us, #OdysseyDome, however, please follow audience participation guidelines during the Raptor Experience show. A professional handler will be available after the show should you wish to take more intimate photos.
Can I take photos with the raptors during the live presentation?
Yes! Please let us know when you arrive if you’d like a photo opportunity with one of the show’s raptors and we'll do our best to ensure you’re able to capture that intimate moment for years to come!
